Top Secret Recipes : Copycat Restaurant Recipes

My first mission. I was nervously sweating, but there was no turning back now. I had the feeling that everyone was looking at me and reading my mind. How could they not know what I was here for?

Finally a young lady escort me to my seat. I regained composure and asked her kindly to see the menu. I glanced over the menu. Time stopped. I slowly took my eyes from the menu and forcefully smiled. Where is the Apple Crisp?

No longer on the menu

“I love them too, so I am sorry to say that we discontinued them from the menu” is what she replied. This is crazy, these were the best desserts on the menu. I calmly ordered my meal when suddenly a bright idea came to me. They must have the recipe!

Yes, I actually blurted that out. What can I say this was my first mission. So I said to her, “since the recipe is no longer being used would it be possible for me to get a copy.” She smiled cheerfully and said “I'll check with the head chef”.I think you know how this ended.

There is an alternative

You guessed it. The head chef would have no part of my little scheme. So I ate my dinner and then took my leave. It wasn't until a couple months later a good friend of mine told me about the secret recipe book that contain many of the top restaurant's famous recipes.

After going to the website I decided to try the recipes. The website seemed extremely confident describing it's recipes ranging from cheesecake factory recipes to campbells recipes. They were so confident they even went so far as to offer an eight weeks return policy. With eight weeks I could do some experimenting with these recipes and if I wasn't happy I could always ask for a refund.

Mad scientist in the kitchen

My first experiment turned out amazing. I love shrimp alfredo so I decided to try my hand on Olive Garden's famous alfredo recipe. The instructions were clear and I really had no problem following along. Being the cautious person that I am, I decided to toy with the recipes in secret.

Everything was simply amazing, but this could've been me tooting my own horn. So what I did was invite a couple friends over and treat them to a nice meal. The best part was when someone blurted out “this alfredo is amazing. It tastes so familiar too” I just smiled and said it was an old family recipe. (Yes I know, but it felt so good for my friends to praise my cooking)

The more I mess with the recipes the more I realize that the food at many restaurants vary from day to day. My conclusion is that the chefs sometimes get tired or lose concentration because of making so many meals a day. The reason I say this is because I normally see consistent results when I follow these recipes.

My pet peeve

One thing that I really hate is taking my time getting dress for dinner just to find that I have to wait atleast a hour to be seated. Now imagine after all that ordeal the waiter brought a meal that didn't taste the way you expected it to. This can be extremely frustrating and these moments really made me appreciate having these recipes around.

Sometimes I just want to bypass the hassle and have a great meal. Along with the hassle I realize how much I was spending a month eating out. I still go out every now and then but I did notice that I am saving a lot of money by using these recipes.

Now your mission...if you chose to accept it :-). Give this cookbook a chance because the recipes are easy to follow and you will produce great meals even if you are not experience at cooking. With the eight weeks refund it is a no-brainer to give these recipes to try.
